Cyberpunk

Is this the future yet?

There is a distinct danger with anything new that there are those who would like to live on the edge, but without any risk or danger. Cyberpunk is more than a pair of mirrorshades - it is in fact a whole range of disparate thoughts and clashing cultures that has no central core. You cannot, in a real sense, "look like a cyberpunk". To try is to miss the point.

It is not to be confused with "cyberculture" either, which is a far more generic term and is beginning to be descriptive of most of our culture.
